SEASONAL CHROMA: THE TREND THAT MAKES COLOR MAKE SENSE

At Pencil Factory by JOVI Cosmetics, we are constantly analyzing trends—not just to understand what’s happening, but to turn them into real, workable proposals our clients can actually bring to life.

Seasonal color analysis is one of those cases… and we’re very excited to introduce our latest launch: Seasonal Chroma.

It’s everywhere. On social media, in beauty content, in conversations about which colors suit you best. You’ve probably seen it: “Which season am I?”, “This shade brightens me”, “This one washes me out”.

The idea behind seasonal color analysis is simple: not all colors work the same for everyone. It looks at skin tone, eye color and hair to identify which color ranges harmonize best with each person. From there, it’s divided into four groups: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

But there’s something even more interesting behind it.

People don’t just choose colors—they identify with them.
They understand what suits them, recognize it, and start looking for it.

And when that happens, choosing a product becomes much easier.

Based on this logic, at Pencil Factory by JOVI Cosmetics we developed Seasonal Chroma: a way to turn this trend into a clear, easy-to-understand concept that’s ready to be activated at brand level.

The collection is structured into four color universes: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each built around a specific harmony. From bold, high-contrast profiles to softer or warmer palettes, each season creates a clear and recognizable visual language.

Winter – Chroma Bold

High-contrast profiles, where the difference between skin, hair and eyes is very defined. Typically featuring very light or very deep skin tones with cool undertones, dark hair (dark brown or black), and intense eyes—blue, black or deep brown.

These features work best with strong, defined colors. That’s why the shade selection is designed to enhance this natural intensity:

  • Intense pink (lipliner): defines the lips and becomes the focal point of the look.
  • Deep burgundy (eyeliner): adds depth and a more sophisticated touch.
  • Pearly taupe (eyeliner): balances the look and allows for softer transitions.

Spring – Luminous Bloom

Warm, luminous profiles with lighter, golden features. Skin usually has warm undertones with peachy nuances, hair ranges from blonde to light brown, and eyes tend to be light (green, blue or hazel).

Here, colors work best when they feel fresh, warm and radiant—like soft golds, peaches or lively greens. The shade selection reflects this brightness:

  • Warm coral (lipliner): gives an instant healthy glow without overloading the look.
  • Olive green (eyeliner): defines the eyes softly, without adding harshness.
  • Luminous gold (eyeliner): brings light and dimension to the eye.

Summer – Soft Veil

Low-contrast profiles with a soft, slightly diffused harmony. Skin usually has cool or neutral undertones, hair sits in ashy or soft brown tones, and eyes are often grey, soft blue or muted green.

Here, colors need to enhance without overpowering. The selection focuses on maintaining that softness:

  • Mauve pink (lipliner): subtle, natural and easy to wear.
  • Deep blue (eyeliner): defines the eyes without breaking the harmony.
  • Pearly pink (eyeliner): adds light in a very soft, delicate way.

Autumn – Earthbound

Warm and deep profiles, with richer, more intense tones. Skin has warm or golden undertones, hair is usually brown, copper or red, and eyes are green, hazel or warm brown.

These profiles work best with earthy, enveloping shades. The selection reinforces that depth:

  • Deep brown (lipliner): structures the lips while staying within the natural palette.
  • Warm brown (eyeliner): softly defines the eyes.
  • Metallic copper (eyeliner): adds light and texture with warm reflections.

More than colour: performance and formulation

Seasonal Chroma is not just about color. It’s also about making sure the product performs.

The collection combines different formulations and finishes designed to work together within each look, all sharing the same core benefits:

  • High pigmentation from the first stroke
  • Precise application, suitable for both defined lines and blending
  • Creamy texture for easy glide

In addition, our pencils are developed under standards that meet current market expectations:

  • Dermatologically tested
  • Ophthalmologically tested (eyeliners)
  • Fragrance-free
  • Mass Balance certifiable
  • PEFC-certified cedar wood
  • Option for natural and vegan formulas
